Celina Jaitley ( born 9 June 1981) is an Indian actress and former beauty queen. She was crowned Femina Miss India in 2001Jaitley was born in Kabul Afghanistan to a Punjabi Indian father and Afghan mother Her father V.K. Jaitley is a retired Indian Army colonel and her mother Meeta an Afghan Hindu was a nurse in the Indian army as well as an Afghan beauty queen. She has one brother who is serving the Indian army.Celina grew up in several cities including Lucknow where she attended City Monetessori school. She also studied in Berhampur Orissa when her father was posted there. She has spent most of her time in Kolkata India. She is a Hindu by faith. She has said that when she was young she wanted to join the army either as a doctor or a pilot. She graduated with a degree in commerce from Indira Gandhi National Open University.Jaitley was a finalist in the Miss Universe 2001 contest. In addition to her title of Femina Miss India Universe, Celina has won the Miss Margo Beautiful Skin Indiatimes Surfers Choice and MTVs Most Wanted award.
